NMRWA's Annual Conference provides water and wastewater professionals the opportunity to learn about new trends, services and industry products. Network with your peers and obtain up to 19 certification credits.

Hotel

Our Conference will be held at the beautiful Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town, a New Mexico Heritage Hotel. This landmark destination has been the location of the NMRWA Annual Conference for the last four years under the Sheraton name. Recently renamed, the Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town has had $14.2 million dollars in renovations since 2001, including a new pool/jacuzzi and the popular Q-Bar. The Hotel is located at 800 Rio Grande Boulevard, with many restaurants and shops located within walking distance. Best of all, the Conference room rate will remain at $75.00 per night for attendees! Reservations must be made before March 1, 2006, and be sure to request the New Mexico Rural Water Association Annual Conference room rate. Please call the Hotel Albuquerque at 505-843-6300 and ask for reservations. Make your reservations early, as the number of rooms available on some nights may be limited. Call our office if we may assist you with any problems or special needs.

Other nearby hotels include the Best Western Rio Grande, 1015 Rio Grande Boulevard, 843-9500, and the Hotel Blue, 717 Central Avenue NW, 924-2400. Mention the New Mexico Rural Water Association Conference to secure the best rate.

Exhibitor Demonstration Classes

Exhibitor Demonstration Classes will be offered on Tuesday afternoon, and allow for hands-on instruction in a small group setting. The classes will take place inside the exhibit hall, where exhibitors will offer 30-minute demonstration classes at their booths. There will be five time blocks and participants will attend a new session for each block. A separate stamp card with special instructions will be included in the registration packets.

We have changed the instructions for the demo classes so please take note. Pre-registration is required to participate in the Exhibitor Demonstration classes. You must sign up for the particular demonstration classes and time you would like to attend at the exhibitor's booth. Sign up sheets will be located at the designated exhibitor booths on a clip board. Ask the exhibitors to sign up for demonstration classes. Once you have signed up for the class be sure to mark down the class and time on the back of your demonstration stamp card. To maximize your credit hours, sign up for all five demonstration classes. Registration is first come, first served. Space is limited and early registration is appreciated.

Demonstration classes will follow this schedule:

1:30 - 2:00   Session 1
2:05 - 2:35   Session 2
2:40 - 3:10   Session 3
3:15 - 3:45   Afternoon Break
3:45 - 4:15   Session 4
4:20 - 4:50   Session 5

At least 16 different classes will be offered, and exhibitors will repeat their class for every session so that participants may choose the order in which they attend the sessions. When signing up, participants will fill in their own schedule according to this order. Class size will be limited to 8 people to maximize the opportunity for questions and to address specific needs. When each 30-minute session is over, the exhibitor/instructor will stamp the cards and the participants will proceed immediately to the next booth on their schedule.
