Drinking Water Technical Assistance & Training
US EPA has funded NMRWA to provide training and technical assistance to water systems throughout New Mexico. This program has several major goals:
Goal #1: To improve the technical, operational and management knowledge of water system personnel. Objective: Improve the knowledge of water system personnel by providing formal training to rural and small water systems.
Goal #2: To improve the skill level of rural and small water system personnel at their water system. Objective: Improve the skill level of water system personnel by providing professional one on one on-site training assistance at their system. This on-site training assistance effort will involve teaching water system personnel how to solve problems instead of simply fixing problems.
Goal #3: To identify and satisfy the specific on-site technical assistance and training needs. Objective: To develop, with input from NMED and water system personnel, an Operating Plan with the flexibility to meet compliance issues and on-site technical assistance and training needs.
Check our Training Schedule. Topics are not limited to those listed, and we invite systems to contact Peter Nathanson with training or on-site assistance needs via phone (575-405-0972) or email.
